What is the next big thing is somewhat a flawed question.
- Because we cannot know for sure
- Because it is a wrong focus and a vanity metric
The question, I believe, makes you lose focus of what you can do now. What you can make right now for the person next to you.
We do not need the next big thing to do something meaningful. Better put, anything meaningful you do is the next big thing.
The next podcast you will record is the next big thing
The next blog post you will write is the next big thing
The next book you will write is the next big thing
The next song you will sing is the next big thing.
Rather than chasing after the next big thing, go ahead and create it.
If it can change one life, then it is the next big thing.
